THE INDIVIDUAL PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

The individual pursuit of happiness coupled with equality in the treatment of the rights and privileges of citizens by government, historically, has been the primary objective of, our constitutional democratic, republican form of government. Combined with the governmental principle of, separation of church and state, our founding fathers assured us of, a future. In which we could not be, persecuted because of our religious beliefs or lifestyles. Our Founding Fathers chose the constitutional republican democracy form of government coupled with the separation of church and state over monarchy, pure democracy, and pure republican forms of government.

Specifically to assure the individual pursuit of happiness in employment, religion, lifestyle, etc. Because of what the founding fathers had experienced in the European political culture. As well as, as intellectually educated citizens exposed, to the arbitrary and capricious excesses of, fraudulent religious piety. And the inhuman cruelties inflicted on religious dissident citizens in the name of righteousness by Patristic Christian governments in Europe.

The Founding Fathers determined that Patristic Christianity and the Patristic Christian governments of Europe were, failing to regard critical intellectual intelligence and the search for, natural truth as a virtue. In addition, European governments had adopted the view. That deceit and lying were virtues, if done in the interests of, Patristic Christianity and Patristic Christian governments. For a long time European Patristic Christian governments did not think a constitutional promise made to political dissident or what they perceived as religious heretic citizens, binding. But it is these European Patristic Christian governments hindrances of the progress of, education and science towards the attainment of new truth as to human affairs.
